What's Happening in Our Club?

Brothers::

In the past month or so, we completed our Special Event Station (SES) celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Fourth Degree.  We made 319 contacts, into 24 DX entities.  We have received 18 QSL cards as a result of that SES so far.

This Saturday, I will be operating our Second Annual New Jersey Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Championship Special Event Station in Sayreville, NJ.  If you can't make it there, please try to operate from home.  I have listed on our QRZ site that operation will occur between 8:00 A.M. and 7:59 P.M.  Please use the Operator Status Page if you choose to operate.

I have been exploring the many avenues available to us, in an attempt to raise money for our communications vehicle.  Hopefully, at least one of those avenues will pan out for us.

I hope to see you at the convention in May.  Depending upon the weather (it was chilly last year--ask Art, Joe or John--and communications have always been iffy from the convention.  If I can, I will operate remotely, as I believe John will do also.  Bob will also be there, and between the three of us, we should be able to make at least a couple of contacts.

If you can't make it to the convention, perhaps you can operate from home.  We will be attempting to have those operating from home showcased on Zoom, YouTube or some other electronic media, so your brother Knights at the convention can see you make some contacts.

Now, if only we can get our raffle license and tickets by the convention, we will be on our way to purchasing our communications vehicle.

That's all for now!

Vivat Jesus and 73,

Tom
